Since 2009 the Chico Permaculture Guild (CPG) gathers several times per year to discuss permaculture design methods and strategies and to have fun together. Currently every Gathering is a Potluck and a ‘Share the Surplus’ swap located at the Chico Library Meeting Room and is always FREE and open to the public. We seek to ensure that permaculture information is fully accessible to EVERYONE in our community. Check our calendar for the current CPG schedule and/or see below.
The CPG Gatherings are a way to get involved in Earthshed PermaBlitzes while learning about permaculture design, strategies and techniques. A PermaBlitz involves a group of people who have come together at someone’s property to share skills related to permaculture and sustainable living. Permablitzes are FREE events that are open to the public, where you learn new skills, share food, get some exercise and have fun. They are about helping our neighborhoods become more edible and resilient one yard at a time by harnessing and building the power of community.
The CPG is an education program of Earthshed Solutions, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The CPG commits to providing our Fair Share – FREE information for our community about permaculture. Access to permaculture at NO COST is imperative to our shared future.
WHAT to BRING to CPG GATHERINGS:
- Please bring a small dish to share as well as your own dishes, utensils and cup for the POTLUCK –beverages will be provided. There are limited dishes available in the library so please remember to bring your own if you can.
- If you have anything in SURPLUS (vegetables, home preserved food, eggs, fruit, seed, plant starts etc.) please bring it along and we’ll ‘Share the Surplus’ after the Potluck.
